Position Summary: The MOCVD Operator position is responsible for daily MOCVD operation, material measurement and data record. This position will also involve equipment maintenance activities, environmental sustaining and strictly complying with the clean room rules. The role requires teamwork, efficiency orientation, quality pursuit, and hardworking
Responsibilities:
MOCVD Daily Operations (60%):
Check MOCVD room temperature, MO chiller temperature, pressure of H2, N2, hydride gas, MO consumption. Make sure everything is normal before MOCVD growth
Execute wafer etching cleaning, loading, unloading, recipe loading/running,
Perform characterization with golden wafer, and enter calibration data to the metrology SPC sheet
Perform characterization with epi wafer: PL mapping, XRD rocking curve, ECV doping profiling
Input MOCVD process, equipment parameters, wafer characterization results on daily schedule sheet
Record re-growth information, sign, date the traveler
Inspect wafer surface, record particle count
Follow clean room rule, report any process, and equipment issue to your supervisor on time
Provide good suggestions on the improvement of process quality and working efficiency
MOCVD process sustaining and equipment maintenance (40%):
Update inventory of InP substrate, base wafer, and chemicals
Engage MO bubbler change, process gas cylinder change, hardware replacement such as pump, MFC, PC, valve, etc.
Maintenance working environment cleanness, clean wet bench, workstation, desktop, organize maintenance tools, spare parts in order
Clean and suck load lock, chamber view port, gate valve periodically to reduce particle defect of the epi wafer
Support engineer to refurbish MOCVD chamber, change particle filter, P4 trap, and exhaust absorber
Execute preventive maintenance procedures and perform basic troubleshooting
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Electronics, Semiconductor Technology, or related technical field preferred; OR High school diploma with relevant technical training and certification
3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electronic, semiconductor fabrication operations
Plentiful knowledge of cleanroom operations, safety protocols, and contamination control
Experience with wafer handling and high vacuum equipment maintenance
Strict implementation of cleanroom protocols, safety procedures, and particle contamination control
Excellent attention to detail and continuous pursuit of wafer operation improvement
Effective communication and teamwork skills in multi-shift manufacturing environment
Ability to work independently with limited supervision on critical wafer growth steps
Willingness to work night shift, weekends as required by epi growth demand
Physical ability to stand for extended periods, wear full cleanroom gowning, and work in controlled environment

There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
