The ESBO division is the European Services Business Office, responsible for all Samsung services on TV (Visual Display or VD division) and mobile devices (Mobile Experience or MX division). These services include Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Art Store, Samsung Galaxy Store, Gaming Hub, Samsung News, and Multiple Voice Assistance. The Product Management team oversees the operations, content curation, programming, analysis and marketing of Samsung smart TV and mobile services across all European countries, direct management of services may be limited to key EU markets.

The Marketing team is responsible for growing the brand awareness and engagement of these services through high impact and exciting campaigns to delight Samsung customers. Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

As the Mobile Services Marketing Lead, you will lead a team to deliver the marketing strategy and go-to-market plans for Samsung's mobile services across Europe. Working across key products including the Samsung Galaxy Store, Samsung Gaming Hub (including Cloud Gaming and Instant Plays) and Samsung News. You’ll oversee the complete marketing lifecycle, working with internal and external teams to create impactful campaigns.

  • Marketing Strategy & Service Growth: Drive user acquisition and engagement by developing and managing marketing initiatives related to Samsung’s mobile offerings in Europe.

  • Go-To-Market Leadership: Lead the go-to-market strategy for Samsung mobile services in Europe, including Samsung News, Gaming Hub (including Cloud Gaming and Instant Plays) and Galaxy Store, translating product roadmaps, features and partnerships into clear launch and marketing plans.

  • Performance Marketing: Use data-driven performance marketing and experimentation to continuously optimise campaigns, leveraging Samsung owned and earned channels.

  • Regional & Global Alignment: Coordinate with mobile product managers and HQ teams (Suwon, Korea) to ensure European goals align with global priorities. Serve as the primary European contact for all EU mobile services marketing requests.

  • Project Ownership: Oversee each project stage from strategy and planning to budget management, execution, and reporting. Ensure ESBO/HQ product teams are fully aligned on all marketing strategy, plans and activity outcomes.

  • Marketing tools: Be the European lead in a global project to develop an in-house customer engagement tool; liaising with stakeholders in UK, US and Korea to test and ensure the tool meets requirements.

  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse campaign effectiveness, ensuring alignment with brand goals and providing insights to the wider team.

  • Market & User Insight: Stay current on industry trends and user behaviour, making data-driven recommendations to optimise service positioning and engagement.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with service product, operations and European subsidiaries to ensure aligned and scalable execution across markets, providing GTM toolkits for local teams.

  • Innovative User Engagement: Continuously explore new ways to target and engage users, tailoring strategies to each market.

  • End-to-End Project Ownership:

    • Strategy & Planning: Work with research and data teams to find opportunities and develop KPI-driven strategies.

    • Agency Management: Create briefs and oversee agency selection and relationships.

    • Finance: Manage project budgets, tracking, and monthly reporting to the Head of Marketing.

    • Campaign Deployment: Lead campaigns from planning to launch for smooth execution.

    • Reporting: Monitor performance and share insights with the wider business regularly.

What we need for this role

To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience within the mobile, media, gaming or news industries.

  • Line management experiance, setting and managing objectives and performance.

  • In-depth industry knowledge in mobile app store, gaming or news, with a clear understanding of how to promote and drive engagement. Your primary focus will be on Galaxy Store, Gaming Hub and Samsung News, so experience in either field is highly advantageous.

  • Proven track record in 360-campaigns: Experience in creating and launching multi-channel campaigns across cross-functional teams and agencies.

  • Autonomous project management: Able to manage multiple projects independently and lead marketing efforts for assigned services.

  • Expertise in acquisition marketing: Knowledgeable about best practices, tools, and trends.

  • Strong collaboration skills: Able to work effectively across a large organisation, influence others, and achieve results.

  • Analytical mindset: Comfortable analysing and interpreting data to inform strategy.

  • Proactive and solution-focused: A self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a resourceful approach to challenges.

  • Creative campaign evaluation: Experience in assessing and executing innovative campaigns within the services sector.

  • Multi-tasking abilities: Skilled at managing priorities and leading projects with minimal supervision.

  • Intermediate knowledge of design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, or video editing) is an advantage.

What does success look like?

Success in this role means setting and communicating clear marketing strategy and plans, driving KPIs in user acquisition, engagement, and brand awareness through fresh ideas and a proactive approach. Operating as the leader of a small team and proactive virtual member of a product team, you are required to get hands on when it comes to delivery of campaigns or broader plans, working around issues and operating within a matrixed organisation.
