Job Summary: Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Major Duties:

  • Summary of Duties: Assists patrons in loading and unloading equipment into/from golf carts and cars. Maintains a fleet of golf carts, insuring they are properly cleaned, charges and stored each evening. Maintenance of golf carts will include battery connections and fluid levels, tire pressure and other related cart upkeep on a daily basis. Fills sand buckets on the carts. Maintains and cleans rental golf clubs. Keeps driving range clean and fully stocked with range balls. May operate a gas cart when retrieving range balls. Fill and replace the four (4) water coolers on the golf course with ice on a daily basis. Maintains clubhouse, working areas and parking lots in neat and clean condition. Keeps wastebaskets in clubhouse and pro shop emptied. Keeps rest rooms in clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Cleans, disinfects and deodorizes lavatories, urinals and toilet bowls. Cleans mirrors, sinks and water fountains. Dusts ledges and woodwork. Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissue, hand towels and soap. Maintains a stock of cleaning materials and equipment and notified supervisor when more are needed. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment, and observe safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Skills and Knowledge: Ability to work safely while moving lightweight objects. Ability to learn Material Safety Data Sheets. Ability to use electric and gas powered equipment and perform minor maintenance on this equipment. Must be able to check air pressure in tires and inflate to correct pressure and to charge batteries. Responsibility: Works with specific oral and written instructions. Responsible for exercising continual care due to the nature of tools and equipment used and the weight of objects handled. After the receipt of instructions, worker may complete routing duties involving several distinct tasks or steps independently. Observance of all fire and safety rules and regulations is mandatory. Physical Effort: Exerts moderately heavy physical effort in controlling heavy equipment, carrying and setting up golf bags, water coolers, tents and large buckets of range balls. Continual standing, bending, stooping and reaching; frequently lifting and moving objects weighing about 40 lbs and occasionally objects weighing over 50 lbs with assistance. Working Conditions: Works is typically performed outdoors in all kinds of weather. There is frequent exposure to cuts, burns, dirt and disagreeable odors.
