Job Summary: As a Manager for Disclosure Services and the Freedom of Information Act Officer, you will plan, direct and supervise activities in the unit. Assist the Director in overall planning and day-to-day activities of the division. This position will be located within OCC's Public Affairs unit in Washington, DC
Major Duties:
Qualifications: You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement: To qualify for the NB-VI level, applicants must have specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level, NB-V or GS-13 level in the federal service. This experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience for this position includes: Responding to routine Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act requests and other disclosure inquiries from a wide range of internal and/or external individuals or groups; AND Conducting review and analysis of information for a disclosure determination based on a harm analysis, i.e., harm that could result if the information were disclosed; AND Leading projects and/or initiatives involving FOIA/Privacy Act requests, appeals and/or litigation for the organization. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
