MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
・Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree with an expected graduation by the end of March 2028
※Must be in school until the end of internship program
・Must be available for a 3-month on-site internship in 2026 (During the internship, remote is not eligible.)
・Have no more than 24 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience)
・International students who require visa support must meet one of the following requirements:
  ・The internship program is part of your education and essential for your graduation
  ・This internship allows you to receive some credit(s) for your education program
  ・Have Bachelor degree at the time of application

WORKING CONDITIONS
・Start Date: June 1, 2026, August 3, 2026
・Internship Duration: 3 months
・Expected work hours: 5 days (40 hours/week), depending on visa and class scheduling, some flexibility for shorter hours may be available
・Salary Type: Hourly wage

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about making a tangible impact on society by leveraging their expertise in machine learning to drive the future of our data and AI initiatives at Woven City. As part of this internship, you will have the opportunity to work with a wealth of multimodal city-wide data and engage with resident feedback, both passive and active, to uncover valuable insights alongside our strategic team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, experimental environment and enjoy solving complex problems, we want to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES
・Develop and Experiment with ML Models
   ・Build and refine machine learning models to analyze multimodal city data, including geospatial, behavioral, and sensor-driven datasets
   ・Conduct exploratory data analysis and propose innovative approaches to solve urban and mobility challenges
・Collaborate on Real-World Experiments
   ・Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and execute Proof of Concept (PoC) experiments that address key challenges in Woven City
   ・Analyze feedback and outcomes from PoC trials to refine models and suggest actionable improvements
・Prototype Scalable Solutions
   ・Develop prototypes for scalable machine learning pipelines that integrate seamlessly into our data ecosystem
   ・Present findings and progress to stakeholders, translating technical results into practical insights and recommendations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
・Currently pursuing a Master`s or PhD degree in computer science, machine learning, or a similar major
・Research or experience in unsupervised (e.g., clustering, PCA), semi-supervised (e.g., self-training, label propagation), and supervised ML and deep learning models (e.g., regression, classification, CNNs, RNNs)
・Experience in software development using ML framework (e.g. pytorch, keras, etc.)
・Intermediate communication skills in English
・Development skills in at least one of the following programming languages: Python(PySpark) or SQL(SparkSQL)

NICE TO HAVES
・Journal or conference publications in related fields
・Experience with LLM prompt engineering and the long-chain ecosystem (e.g., PineCone, AutoGPT, PromptLayer, LlamaIndex)
・Experience with modern development tools and cloud-based environments (git, Docker, MLFLow, Kubeflow, AWS, etc)
