ABOUT US
The Salvation Army is a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest and most-loved charities. We believe in doing good that transforms lives and futures for the better. It is this belief which drives us to find new ways and places where we can make a difference. From times of personal crisis to moments of national grief, we are always here — providing support, safety, community, and opportunity.
Why this role matters
There is something powerful about creating a place where young people and families feel seen, supported and genuinely welcomed. At Mandurah Corps we are building a ministry that helps children and youth discover belonging, hope and purpose. We are looking for someone who feels called to be part of that story.
If you are energised by community and passionate about faith in action, this role offers the chance to shape meaningful ministry moments and make a lasting impact.
About the role
As the Ministry Co‑ordinator for Youth, Children and Family, you will help bring ministry to life across the Corps and the wider community. You will create environments where children and young people can grow, explore faith and build relationships that strengthen them. You will walk alongside families and offer support, encouragement and connection through programs, pastoral care and community engagement.
Your week will include planning and preparation, school engagement, after school and evening youth programs, and active participation in Sunday morning worship. Hours are worked across four days each week including Sunday. Remaining hours can be shaped around program needs and there is flexibility in how they are distributed.
You will also play a key role in building and supporting a team of volunteers and ensuring they feel equipped, valued and confident in their ministry.
This permanent part-time 0.6 position is within the Southwest Metro Salvos at Mandurah Corps and reports to the Corps Officers. Pay is in accordance with a Hay Level 12.
