Mine Technician IV (Temporary)
(This is a 12-to-18-month temporary role with strong long‑term potential)
Where will you work: Onsite – Esterhazy, Saskatchewan, K3 Potash Mine site
Work schedule: 5/5/4 Day Shift (5:15am-5:15pm)
The successful candidate will safely and efficiently perform the duties of Mine Technician with a minimum of personal supervision. Mosaic provides the opportunity to develop the necessary skills, knowledge and abilities through training, practice, experience, examinations, and task observation to eventually achieve local Master Mine Technician status. An employee entering the Mine Technician Progression will be placed at the level within the progression that their training, qualifications and experience allow. The duties assigned are generally to provide technical support services that are critical to the safe and efficient operation of the mine.
What you’ll do?
Perform the duties related to rock mechanics as practiced at Mosaic.
Preform daily production surveys and laser advancement.
Carry out ventilation surveys and prepare reports, maps and graphs.
Perform geotechnical surveys and prepare reports, maps and graphs.
Investigate and prepare reports on mine planning, grade control, productivity, detailed surveying, special shaft projects, and production inventory.
Keep mine plans current and maintain filing system on all mine plans.
Assist in performing underground geophysical surveys such as radar and closure station readings.
Carry out equipment evaluation and inventory.

What you’ll need:
High school diploma plus completion of a Geoscience, Mining, or Engineering Diploma or Degree from a recognized technical school or university.
Have a working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and database programs.
Use CAD software to perform drafting duties.
Aptitude to Conduct equipment evaluations.
Ability to install, maintain and repair geotechnical equipment.
Maintain and provide inventory of lasers, survey, and geotechnical equipment.
Provide training, support and guidance to other mine technicians, surveyors and employees as required.
Diligently adhere to all relevant legal environmental requirements.
Diligently ensure that all relevant OH&S requirements and in-house safety regulations are complied with.

Must be authorized to work in Canada.
