Middle/Senior Business Analyst (Data project)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Middle/Senior Business Analyst to join our team in a leading pharmaceutical company. This role will focus on supporting data-driven initiatives and analytics solutions that enhance decision-making, operational efficiency, and business insights across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements, working closely with data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders.

Experience within the pharmaceutical or life sciences domain, or prior exposure to data-heavy environments, will be highly valued, as the role requires understanding both business processes and data structures in order to effectively bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand business objectives and identify data-driven opportunities.
• Conduct detailed requirements analysis for data and analytics initiatives, gathering, documenting, and validating business and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and data requirements for technical teams.
• Serve as a bridge between business users and engineering teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support data-related initiatives, including defining business logic, data definitions, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain end-to-end project documentation, ensuring traceability and consistency across requirements, technical solutions, and delivered outcomes.
• Participate in data governance, data quality, and compliance initiatives, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and proper usage of business data.
• Work closely with stakeholders to validate delivered solutions, ensuring they meet business expectations and operational needs.

 

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working on data, analytics, or technology-driven projects, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience collaborating with data engineering, analytics, or data platform teams, with a good understanding of data pipelines, datasets, and reporting layers supporting business use cases.
• Domain exposure to pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industries is highly desirable. Familiarity with pharma market structures, commercial analytics, or healthcare data ecosystems is a strong advantage.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into clear functional and data requirements for technical teams.
• Experience working with structured datasets, business metrics, and data-driven reporting, with an understanding of how data is collected, transformed, and used for business insights.
• Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of SQL or data querying concepts is beneficial for working with data teams (hands-on engineering is not expected).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with both business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to clarifying requirements and identifying gaps.
• High level of organization, ownership, and adaptability, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
