Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for advancing the mission and vision of the school through:
● Providing interventions to students identified as needing tier 2 or 3 supports by the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Team
● Coordinating and supervising small group testing for students
● Covering classes when needed
● Maintaining accurate and appropriate school records (attendance, etc.)
● Enforcing safety procedures ● Following lesson plans as required by school and teacher
● Instructing students regarding a variety of classroom topics and courses of instruction
● Providing supervision for students during class, lunch, recess, between classes, and on class outings or field trips
● Assisting with driveline, lunch, and recess duties
● Attending staff and team meetings and professional development opportunities
● Completing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills
● Must successfully pass reference checks and background checks
● Preferred: 1-3 years experience in a Middle School setting ● Preferred: CPR/First Aid Certification

Term: Full-time (180 contact days)
Salary: $18-$26 per hour, plus benefits

--- Perform general clerical tasks for the purpose of assisting teachers with instructional material.
--- Monitor individual and/or groups of students in a variety of settings (e.g. classroom, playground, field trips, library, lunchroom, bus loading/unloading, etc.) for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment.
--- Maintain instructional materials and/or manual and electronic files/ for the purpose of ensuring availability of items, and/or meeting mandated requirements.
--- Assist teachers with classroom assignments for the purpose of supporting teachers in the instructional process.
--- Assist students, individually or in small groups, with lesson assignments for the purpose of practicing and/or reinforcing learning concepts and assisting students in reaching academic goals and grade level standards.
--- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
--- Administer minor first aid for the purpose of meeting immediate health care needs.
--- Mediate student conflicts to ensure a safe educational environment.
--- Report observations and incidents relating to specific students (e.g. accidents, fights, appropriate and inappropriate social behavior, violations of rules, safety conditions, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel.
