Middle Office Operations - Analyst

  • About the Role

    iCapital is looking to hire a Middle Office Analyst to join our Middle Office Operations team. This role will report into the Middle Office team lead and will assist the team coordinating new private fund subscriptions and commitments and facilitating subsequent transactions on those funds’ behalf, as applicable. The role will involve frequent, proactive communication and coordination with internal partners (e.g., investor relations, fund finance, fund origination and legal) and external counterparties (e.g., law firms, administrators, investment managers) to ensure iCapital’s transaction requests are accepted and closed in upon for our intended dates.

    The Middle Office role is also involved in facilitating a variety of ancillary tasks around iCapital’s fund launch and closing processes, including securing industry identifiers, as may be applicable, administering our proprietary database with closing information, and participating in team projects to improve processing efficiency (e.g., technology initiatives).

     

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare private fund subscription documents to close into unaffiliated underlying private capital and hedge funds on behalf of iCapital access vehicles.
    • Assist with the KYC/AML documentation process to onboard iCapital access funds with each underlying private fund.
    • Participate in fund launch pipeline meetings and coordinate with internal and external partners to help establish delivery deadlines for fund transactions.
    • Manage identifiers for international product distribution (ISIN, APIR, and LEI).
    • Assist senior team members in improving processes through enhanced documentation, workflows, and/or automation to improve the scale of capabilities. Team members are expected to be active contributors to new ideas and solutions.
    • Assist with other middle office operation functions and projects as iCapital’s business evolves.

     

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years of accounting, finance, and/or AML/KYC experience. Knowledge of private funds a plus, but not required
    • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
    • Able to meet multiple deliverables with competing deadlines
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excel proficiency is required
    • Possess the desire and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced work environment
