Middle Office (Operational Support) - AVP

Role Summary

AVP is responsible for end-to-end ownership of operational support for client relationships, providing leadership across SSI governance, setup accuracy, risk management, and client service delivery. The role partners closely with the client, internal leadership, and control functions to ensure scalable, resilient, and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide functional oversight and governance of SSI and static data setup processes for the client business
  • Act as a primary escalation point for complex setup issues, high-risk changes, and client-impacting events
  • Ensure strong control framework across setup, approvals, maker-checker, and post-setup validations
  • Partner with client operations, client service, and relationship management to drive service excellence
  • Lead process improvements, automation initiatives, and defect reduction efforts
  • Oversee regulatory, audit, and risk deliverables, ensuring timely and accurate responses
  • Drive SOP standardization, documentation, and training across teams
  • Support new fund launches, market expansions, and product onboarding for client
  • Provide people leadership, including coaching Officers, performance management, and capacity planning
  • Collaborating with Technology and Data teams on strategic enhancements and platform changes

Qualifications & Skills

  • 8–12 years of experience in Asset Servicing / Investment Operations / Client Operations, with senior exposure to static data and SSI governance
  • Strong knowledge of global markets, settlement models, custody structures, and client onboarding
  • Proven ability to manage high-profile clients (preferably client or similar tier-1 asset managers)
  • Strong risk, control, and regulatory mindset
  • Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in process transformation and team leadership
