Brief Overview of Position
A Banking Analyst I is an entry level position within the Commercial Banking line of business. Depending on the market, this role will report to the Market or Team Leader and work closely with Relationship Managers, the Credit team and other business partners to deliver best-in-class experiences and comprehensive financial solutions to clients and prospects across a broad array of industries.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial cash flow models and balance sheet committee memos.
  • Perform initial review of financial statements and related Spreading.
  • Support Credit Portfolio Managers on review, renewal, and completion of Credit Approvals.
  • Create Pitch Books, Client Advisory presentations, and Executive Summaries prior to client/prospect calls.
  • Attend client and prospect calls with Relationship Managers (RM), support meeting preparation, and coordinate timeline, meetings, and actions to execute and close deals.
  • Research and generate prospect opportunities.
  • Manage risk portfolio reviews, exception clearing, and credit projects.
  • Engage with all lines of business within the firm to develop and grow your understanding of Texas Capital products and services.
  • Log all activity accurately and timely in applicable Texas Capital systems (Salesforce, Alloscape, wDesk etc.).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business (Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, etc.) or other relevant degree.
  • .5 to 1.5 years of experience in Banking, Commercial Banking preferred or other relevant experience.
  • Effective team player with ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills - critical thinking, data and information analysis, research, and problem solving.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Credit Underwriting.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting within Texas Capital systems.
  • High interest in outreach to, and involvement in, the communities where we live and work.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce reports, correspondence, and presentations.
