We have an immediate opportunity for a full time Mid-Market Implementation Specialist on the New Business Team.
The Mid-Market Implementation Specialist will be accountable for the successful and accurate implementation of Coverage and Non-Coverage Mid-Market Plan Sponsors. The Implementation Specialist will provide expert navigation for Plan Sponsors and Advisors as they transition their Group Benefits plan to Manulife. This will be achieved by having comprehensive knowledge in the areas of systems, pricing, underwriting, administration, and customer service. The individual serves as the subject matter expert in all relevant areas, for ensuring effective implementation of newly sold group benefit policies.
Position Responsibilities:
Dedicated contact during the implementation, providing clear verbal and written communications that provides value to both the Regional Group Office (RGO) sales staff, Plan Sponsors and Market Sources
Ensure sold plan designs can be administered within the technology, processes, procedures and product offerings utilized within all areas of Group business
Evaluate and determine appropriate non-standard risk assessments
Provide analysis and technical support regarding product, pricing and alternate funding arrangements
Engage Group Benefit business internal partners as needed to resolve client requests and issues, escalating to management as necessary
Support the RGO in maintaining Plan Sponsor and Market Source relationships by responding to risk, benefit, eligibility and administrative inquiries
Demonstrate a keen understanding of liability associated with various group benefits arrangements
Required Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of Group Benefits contract provisions, administrative practices and claims paying systems
In-depth understanding of Group Life and Health concepts and terminology applicable to all markets
Understanding of funding arrangements, risk analysis and financial reporting
Mathematical aptitude
Clear and effective written and oral communication/presentation skills
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities
Independent, self-motivated individual with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
Ability to effectively engage and communicate with internal partners (Plan Sponsor Services and Regional Group Offices) and Market Sources / Sponsors
Strong attention to detail
Ability to handle fluctuating workloads and multiple priorities within set time constraints
Excellent & extensive knowledge of Manulife Systems
Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills with exceptional proficiency in Excel (data manipulation such as pivot tables) and Word
Strategic and creative thinker focused on finding solutions to unique Plan Sponsor needs
Confident and expert negotiator with proven ability to build relationships and influence decision making
Persuasive communicator with an ability to clearly articulate ideas and present information within various levels of the organization and external partners
Motivated self starter and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple priorities
Ability to make well-balanced decisions that take effective risk management and Plan Sponsor needs into account
Bilingualism (English and French) is a strong asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between
