Position Responsibilities:
Works in both Linux and Windows environments
Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, or in-person.
Assist users with password resets, account lockouts, and access issues.
Installs and configures servers and workstations, validating end-to-end functionality
Provides creative problem solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills across a broad domain of secure network and computing systems
Updates and patches applications to protect against vulnerabilities
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
Ability to obtain a CI polygraph
Security+ certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements)
1+ years of experience in an IT Help Desk position resolving IT issues
1+ years of experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
1+ years of experience in policies and implementations of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Ability to work independently and with a cross-functional team
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
1+ years of experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, etc.)
1+ years of experience with Cisco Routers, Switches and IOS
1+ years of experience working with Virtualized Systems (i.e. VMWare) design and implementation
Experience with System Backups, Network switch configuration
Experience developing PowerShell scripts or Ansible playbooks to automate deployment and configuration of operating systems
Experience with scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Python) and virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V)
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core services
Experience integrating security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, Host Based Security System) into information systems
