Mid-Level React Native Engineer

Buenos Aires Full Time

Blockchain is connecting the world to the future of finance. As the most trusted and fastest-growing global crypto company, it helps millions of people worldwide safely access cryptocurrency. Since its inception in 2011, Blockchain has earned the trust of over 90 million wallet holders and more than 40 million verified users, facilitating over $1 trillion in crypto transactions.

We are looking for a Mid-Level React Native Engineer to help us evolve our mobile architecture into a modular, multiplatform system. This role is focused on enabling rapid development of new consumer apps by composing reusable building blocks from our existing stack and delivering them through high-quality React Native applications.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will contribute to a new way of building apps at Blockchain.com—making it possible to quickly launch new crypto experiences across iOS and Android.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Build and maintain React Native applications that leverage shared modules from our existing mobile and backend systems
  • Contribute to a modular architecture that enables rapid assembly of new apps from reusable components (auth, wallet, trading, on-ramp/off-ramp, etc.)
  • Collaborate with mobile, backend, and product teams to define clean interfaces between modules and ensure seamless integration
  • Translate product ideas into shippable mobile experiences with a focus on speed, quality, and scalability
  • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Codex) to accelerate implementation, while ensuring correctness, performance, and maintainability
  • Validate and review AI-generated code, maintaining a high bar for quality and security
  • Contribute to shared UI patterns, component libraries, and developer tooling for faster app development
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle: prototyping, building, testing, releasing, and iterating
  • Support app store deployments, releases, and post-launch improvements
  • Debug issues across the stack and improve reliability and performance of mobile apps

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 2–5 years of experience in software engineering, with hands-on experience in React Native
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern mobile development practices
  • Experience building and shipping production mobile apps (iOS and/or Android)
  • Solid understanding of component-based architecture and modular design principles
  • Ability to work with APIs and integrate complex backend-driven features
  • Experience using AI developer tools (e.g., Claude, Codex) or strong interest in leveraging them effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to review and validate code for quality and correctness
  • Familiarity with mobile performance, debugging, and testing best practices
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with native mobile development (Swift, Kotlin, or Java)
  • Experience working on shared codebases or cross-platform architectures
  • Familiarity with crypto, wallets, or financial applications
  • Experience integrating third-party services (e.g., payments, authentication, on-chain providers)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and app store release processes
  • Exposure to secure key management, authentication flows, or MPC wallets

COMPENSATION & PERKS

  • Competitive full-time salary based on experience and meaningful equity in an industry-leading company
  • This is a role based in our Palermo office, with a mandatory in-office presence four days per week.
  • The opportunity to be a key player and build your career at a rapidly expanding, global technology company in an exciting, emerging industry.
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Apple equipment provided by the company
  • Work from Anywhere Policy: You can work remotely from anywhere in the world for up to 20 days per year.
