What We'll Bring:

The role requires a QA professional with 3+ years of experience in both manual and automated testing, with a strong focus on building and maintaining automation using Playwright and TypeScript. The candidate will ensure application quality across web and mobile platforms by validating functionality, performance, usability, and reliability. Responsibilities include API testing, comprehensive test case design, defect tracking in Jira, and regression testing. The role collaborates closely with developers and other stakeholders, integrates testing into CI/CD pipelines, participates actively in Agile ceremonies, uses Git for version control, and continuously seeks ways to improve testing processes and overall product quality.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years of hands-on QA experience, including both manual and automated testing.
  • Write, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using tools like Playwright with TypeScript.
  • Contribute to the stability and scalability of the test automation framework.
  • Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Use tools such as Postman, Playwright’s API testing features, or similar to validate RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • Design and execute test cases for various API scenarios including authentication, error handling, and edge cases.
  • Perform manual and automated testing across web and mobile platforms.
  • Validate functionality, performance, usability, and reliability of applications.
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and regression testing.
  • Log defects clearly and concisely using tools like Jira, including steps to reproduce, expected vs actual results, and screenshots/logs.
  • Follow up on bug fixes and verify resolutions.
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to align on quality goals and timelines.
  • Use Git or other version control systems to manage test scripts and collaborate with the development team.

Proactively seek opportunities to improve testing processes and product quality.

Impact You'll Make:

  • Actively participate in user story definition and refinement sessions to understand business requirements and identify potential risks early.
  • Collaborate with product owners and developers to define acceptance criteria and write test scenarios before development begins, ensuring clarity and testability.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Provide feedback during code reviews and sprint demos to help catch issues early and improve feature implementation.
  • Design and execute manual and automated test cases to validate functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Apply a variety of testing techniques including regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing to ensure robust coverage.
  • Treat bugs with urgency and professionalism—log defects with clear reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, and relevant screenshots or logs.
  • Collaborate with developers to triage and resolve issues, and verify fixes before release.
  • Apply coding skills to contribute to test automation frameworks, helping expand coverage and reduce manual effort.
  • Maintain and improve existing test scripts, ensuring they remain reliable and relevant as the product evolves.
  • Use Git or similar version control systems to manage test scripts and collaborate on code changes.
  • Understand branching strategies and how to work within a shared codebase.
  • Maintain up-to-date test cases, test plans, and QA documentation in tools like TestRail, Confluence, or similar.
  • Ensure documentation is clear, organized, and accessible to the wider team.
  • Join Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to stay aligned with team goals and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Stay curious and open to feedback—actively seek opportunities to learn new tools, techniques, and domain knowledge.
  • Share insights and mentor junior QA engineers when appropriate, contributing to a culture of learning and collaboration.
