Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist

The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in Fairborn, OH.

The Facility Security Officer (FSO), as the sole assigned security focal, will support the site by conducting assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.


Job Description Summary

  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action

  • Ensures meetings are held in accordance with contractual and company standards, to include visitor control, assigning temp badges, access control and escorting when required

  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements

  • Assists Communication Security (COMSEC) custodian when required

  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs

  • Supports program management in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements

  • Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information

  • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements

  • Serves as the onsite support for the Information Systems Security Manager/Information Systems Security Officer (ISSM/ISSO) to complete equipment reviews, inventory, audit support and data reviews as required

  • Participates, as requested, in enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams

  • Works with limited oversight

  • Communicates with program leadership and security management to ensure operations are not impacted

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with Industrial Security

  • 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions

  • Experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP and/or SCI

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience as a Facility Security Officer (FSO)

  • Experience with NISP programs

  • Experience communicating with varying levels of stakeholders working team to senior and executive leadership

  • Experience using Microsoft suite

Summary pay range: $88,400 – $119,600
