Where You Will Work:

•We are a 22-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit. We will be expanding to a 30-bed unit in the September of 2024. Our patient population consists of adult and geriatric medical and surgical critical care patients. 

•We care for patients that require ventilators, central lines, Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT), mass blood transfusions, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), and more! 

•The MICU staffs and trains the facilities rapid response team.

•We maintain an operational Unit Practice Council (UPC) dedicated to enhancing the unit's policies and procedures, thereby optimizing workflow and elevating patient outcomes.

•We provide numerous opportunities for professional development and educational advancement tailored to critical care.

•We foster a team environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and mutual support to achieve shared goals.

Expectations We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

What You’ll Do:

Responsible for the direct provision of patient care and for assisting the manager with daily operations to include but not limited to coordination of patient care/outcomes, allocation of human and fiscal resources, communications, patient throughput, program development and oversight, patient, physician and employee rounding, selection, development, and retention of staff, clinical supervision and performance appraisal, performance improvement activities, service recovery and compliance with regulatory agency requirements. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
