Who We're Looking For

The Lead Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, iThe Lead Microsoft Infrastructure Engineer (Configuration Manager Engineer) is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and related configuration management tools within the organization’s Windows infrastructure environment. This role requires deep expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and endpoint management, with a primary focus on SCCM for software deployment, patching, compliance, and configuration. The engineer will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of endpoint operations across the enterprise.

Some of What You'll Do

Direct Reports:  This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain Microsoft SCCM solutions for software deployment, patch management, operating system deployment (OSD), compliance settings, and endpoint reporting.
Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize SCCM infrastructure, including site servers, distribution points, and management points.
Develop and maintain task sequences for automated Windows OS deployment and application packaging.
Administer and support integration with Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager for hybrid environments.
Create and maintain custom SCCM reports and dashboards for compliance, deployment status, and inventory.
Implement and manage Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows infrastructure services as needed.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SCCM and endpoint management processes and configurations.
Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for SCCM client and server issues.
Ensure SCCM and related systems adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.

Participate in or lead infrastructure and endpoint management projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new service rollouts.
Automate routine endpoint management tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
Manage PXE boot reimage processes with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) to support rapid workstation reimaging and recovery.
Maintain and update the golden image for Windows operating systems, ensuring standardization and security across all deployments.
Deploy patches and updates to Windows workstations and servers using SCCM, ensuring timely remediation and compliance.


Experience, Education, and Certifications:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5 years of experience in Microsoft infrastructure engineering.
Demonstrated hands-on experience managing PXE boot reimaging processes with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
Proven experience maintaining and updating golden images for Windows operating systems.
Direct experience deploying patches and updates to Windows workstations and servers using SCCM.
Microsoft Certified desired: Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, or equivalent.


Additional Requirements:


Deep technical proficiency in Microsoft SCCM/Configuration Manager, including software updates, application deployment, OSD, and compliance settings.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and core infrastructure services.
Experience with Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager, co-management scenarios, and device enrollment.
Skilled in PowerShell scripting for automation and reporting.
Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V or VMware) preferred.
