We now have a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager within our Cloud business.
As the Microsoft CSP – Azure Business Development Manager, you will support the growth of Azure and Microsoft CSP outcomes across a defined set of channel partners. You will work with partners and internal teams to identify opportunities, assist with enablement activities, progress deals through the sales cycle, and maintain strong sales cadence and CRM discipline to meet agreed targets.
Partner engagement: Build relationships with assigned partners and internal stakeholders; maintain regular contact to progress opportunities and action plans.
Opportunity management: Prospect within the partner base, qualify opportunities, and support partners to progress deals through to close.
Enablement and onboarding: Assist partners to understand Microsoft CSP offers, processes and tools; coordinate training and workshops with Microsoft and internal teams.
Solution knowledge: Maintain working knowledge of Azure, AI and Security offers and common partner use-cases (migration, modernisation, backup, security baseline, data/AI starters).
Sales cadence and reporting: Maintain pipeline hygiene, forecasting and activity tracking in CRM; provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Programs and incentives: Help partners access applicable Microsoft programs, incentives and promotions and ensure follow-through on required actions.
Collaboration: Work with customer success, operations, finance and marketing to deliver a smooth partner experience and resolve day-to-day issues.
Continuous improvement: Capture partner feedback, identify gaps and contribute ideas to improve partner tools, processes and campaigns.
Experience: 1–3+ years in business development, channel sales, inside sales or partner-facing roles within IT, software or cloud.
Learning mindset: Interest in building knowledge across Microsoft Azure and the partner ecosystem; ability to learn programs, tools and processes quickly.
Sales fundamentals: Comfortable prospecting, qualifying opportunities, following sales process and meeting activity targets.
Communication: Clear written and verbal communication; confident on calls and able to support basic presentations and enablement sessions.
Organisation: Strong time management and attention to detail; able to manage multiple partner requests and priorities.
Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft 365; experience using a CRM (HubSpot preferred) or willingness to learn.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in business, IT or related discipline (or equivalent experience) desirable.
Certifications (desirable): Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and/or AI-900 (or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe).
