About the Role

The Microsoft 365 Services Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and operational support of Microsoft 365 services across the organization or customer environments. This role ensures service availability, security, compliance, and optimal user experience aligned with Microsoft best practices and organizational IT standards.

What You’ll Do

• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 core services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams, and related workloads.
• Manage user accounts, licenses, groups, and identities using Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
• Configure and maintain security, compliance, and governance features such as Conditional Access, MFA, data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, and sensitivity labels.
• Monitor service health, availability, and performance using Microsoft 365 Admin Center and related tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to Microsoft 365 services, user access, mail flow, collaboration, and productivity tools.
• Support the onboarding and offboarding of users, ensuring proper access, license assignment, and data handling.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and endpoint teams to ensure an integrated and secure Modern Workplace environment.
• Assist in Microsoft 365 migrations, upgrades, and service enhancements (mailbox migrations, Teams adoption, SharePoint modernization).
• Create and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates, new features, and best practices.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 or Office 365 services in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with:

  • Exchange Online
  • Microsoft Teams
  • SharePoint Online and OneDrive
  • Azure AD (Entra ID)
    • Experience managing security and compliance features within Microsoft 365.
    • Understanding of identity and access management concepts (MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC).
    • Basic to intermediate PowerShell scripting skills for administration and automation.
    • Analytical mindset with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
    • Customer-focused approach with strong service orientation.

In Addition to the Above Requirements, Our Ideal Candidate Has

• Microsoft certifications such as:

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) or Associate-level certifications.
    • Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-premises Active Directory / Exchange with Microsoft 365).
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Microsoft Purview.
    • Familiarity with ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
    • Experience working in global or multi-tenant environments.
