Job Summary: Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Major Duties:

  • Summary of Duties: Responsible for the supervision and administrative functions of Micro Market (MCX-24) and Direct Vending Services, including oversight of route operations and assigned personnel. Product inventory includes, but is not limited to, snack, beverage, frozen, fresh, and hot food items, and other approved merchandise. Operates a computer and peripheral equipment to input, retrieve, track, and report data to ensure accurate inventory control, accountability, and sales performance. Performs administrative functions and provides training in micro market and vending software, including handheld computer input for all route tasks. Maintains required records, files, and reports. Monitors inventory levels, product movement, and sales trends. Recommends new programs, products, and layout changes to improve sales growth and operational efficiency. Uses industry best practices to maintain effective operations. Assists in planning, reviewing, and implementing policies and procedures established by higher authority. Inspects micro markets and vending locations to ensure equipment is operational, clean, stocked, properly marketed, and displayed in accordance with brand standards and prescribed procedures. Ensures locations are sustained to maximize sales potential. Provides minor repairs and preventive maintenance on micro market and vending equipment when required. Supervises employees to include assigning and distributing work; coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave; recommending and completing personnel actions; initiating disciplinary actions when necessary; completing performance reviews; signing timesheets; and ensuring employees are properly trained. Actively supports EEO principles and the prevention of sexual harassment. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy and professionalism. Assists customers as needed and communicates in a positive and friendly manner. Takes prompt action to resolve issues and elevates concerns to the higher-level supervisor or appropriate point of contact when required. Ensures implementation of an activity safety program in accordance with the Base Safety Program. Advises employees on safety regulations, instructions, materials, and equipment. Ensures required safety training is completed. Complies with OSHA standards and takes corrective action to address unsafe or unhealthy working conditions. Promptly reports workplace accidents or injuries to the Human Resources Office. Ensures employees understand safety infractions that may result in disciplinary action and follows through as appropriate. Supports Return-to-Work initiatives and follows up on employee well-being. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Three years experience and knowledge of procedures associated with a convenient retail store or vending operation, one year having been at a supervisory level. Experience collaborating with vendors, placing merchandise orders, and receiving product. Ability to make sound decisions in situations not covered by written instructions. Ability to perform preventive maintenance of equipment. Ability to read and prepare reports related to a merchandise ordering, replenishment, and inventory environment. Ability to operate computer and peripheral equipment. Skill to supervise employees in the accomplishment of work. Skill to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Ability to acquire the appropriate government driver¿s license for vehicle/equipment use. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
