Job Summary - Manager, Revenue Cycle Vendor Management and System Support 

Responsible for the performance, governance, and optimization of revenue cycle vendors and critical revenue cycle enablement functions, including Payer Access System Support (PASS), Epic Contract Build, and the Revenue Cycle Builder Program. This role ensures these interdependent areas operate in alignment to support reliable system performance, efficient workflows, and high‑quality revenue cycle execution.

The manager establishes structured governance and accountability across vendor partnerships and system support functions, ensuring contractual compliance, service level adherence, quality standards, and operational readiness. This includes oversight of vendor performance, support service reliability, build quality and timeliness, and coordination across system configuration, payer access workflows, and operational needs.

Working closely with Revenue Cycle Automation & AI, Credentialing, Education, DS, Finance, and Revenue Cycle Operations, the manager translates operational insights, system performance data, and vendor metrics into actionable improvements. The role focuses on reducing rework, mitigating operational risk, improving vendor and system reliability, and enabling scalable, cost‑effective revenue cycle operations through disciplined governance, proactive issue management, and continuous optimization.

Essential Functions - Manager, Revenue Cycle Vendor Management and System Support 

  • Vendor Governance: Establish and manage structured oversight of revenue cycle vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual terms, SLAs, quality standards, and productivity expectations.
  • Performance & Financial Accountability: Monitor vendor and support service performance, resolve issues and disputes, and oversee identification and recovery of service credits to support cost containment.
  • System Support Oversight (PASS): Ensure payer access system workflows and support processes function reliably and align with revenue cycle operations and payer requirements.
  • Epic Contract Build Management: Oversee Epic contract build activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with operational and payer needs, while minimizing errors and rework.
  • Revenue Cycle Builder Program Leadership: Ensure consistent standards, quality controls, and governance across revenue cycle build activities.
  • Risk Mitigation & Continuity: Identify and mitigate operational and vendor‑related risks, including dependency and downtime, through proactive planning and redundancy strategies.
  • Analytics & Continuous Improvement: Use performance data and trends to drive operational improvements, reduce rework, and optimize vendor and system effectiveness.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership: Partner with Automation & AI, Credentialing, Education, DS, Finance, and Revenue Cycle Operations to support integrated, end‑to‑end revenue cycle performance.

Qualifications - Manager, Revenue Cycle Vendor Management and System Support 

  • Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Health Information Management, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
  • Preferred Master's Degree Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MS Health Informatics)
  • Preferred Epic Revenue Cycle–related certifications
  • 7 years of relevant experience in healthcare revenue cycle, payer access, or healthcare IT/operations experience Required
  • 5 years of relevant experience in revenue cycle enablement, Epic build/support, payer access systems, or vendor supported services Required
  • 3 years of relevant experience years in a leadership role, management, or program oversight role Required
