The ideal candidate will be well versed in:
Primary Duties
1. Manages and coordinates all Business Development activities for end-use pipeline customers and between APT and other pipeline companies.
2. Oversees the promotion of APT Business Development Services in the marketplace. Conducts duties in an ethical manner and model ethics and compliance behaviors for others. Encourages open, transparent, factual and respectful communication.
3. Assures industry presence with team through customer events, attendance and participation in industry trade shows and industry events. Builds, strengthens and maintains relationships with customers, initiates and maintains customer contacts, facilitates meetings with customers at Company facilities and at customers' premises.
4. Identifies and/or supports acquisition & divestiture and business development activities with industry customers.
5. Prepares market intelligence and customer analysis. Tracks and evaluates economic conditions and advises on impact, enabling management decisions.
6. Provides analytical and creative input in marketing program development while also developing new services for Atmos Pipeline Texas (APT) customers.
7. Manages activities including the negotiation and development of service contracts to determine the risks and opportunities for the Company.
8. Oversees the development of presentation materials such as value propositions and case studies for the team.
9. Interfaces with support staff, other pipeline marketing personnel, transportation administration, scheduling, gas control, and other personnel to assure consistent work practices and sharing of knowledge to optimize efforts in providing customer services.
10. Establishes a culture of safety, operational, and customer service excellence within organization.
11. Develop business plans to support Blue Chips. Establish performance goals and monitor team performance.
12. Assures team adheres to risk management processes and controls. Assists in identifying and assessing business risks, controls, strengths, and improvement opportunities.
13. Maintains adequate staffing levels to assure proper administration of activities. Selects, develops, trains, motivates and evaluates the performance of assigned employees.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Experience Level:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering and minimum five years progressively responsible professional experience in natural gas marketing or related field in the energy industry;
2. A general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and seven years responsible professional experience in natural gas marketing or related field in the energy industry.
Communication Skills:
Requires the ability to communicate, persuade, motivate and/or influence internal and/or external customers at a high level such as senior management on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.
Numeric Skills:
Requires the ability to perform analysis involving financial returns, ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods.
Computer Skills:
Requires working knowledge of various software applications to create documents, reports and/or graphics.
Work Conditions:
Works in an office environment.
