Micron

MGR, OMT PROD. OEE

Taichung - Fab 16, Taiwan Full time

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced OEE Manager to lead our factory-wide efforts in maximizing equipment productivity and optimizing manufacturing performance. This role focuses on improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), identifying P2P bottlenecks, analyzing tool behavior, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance throughput, stability, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Maximize Equipment Utilization

  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve world‑class Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Monitor tool availability, performance, and quality KPIs to ensure optimal utilization and throughput.
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to eliminate chronic equipment losses and unutilized capacity.

Identify P2P Issues & Line Constraints

  • Conduct process‑to‑process (P2P) analysis to identify bottlenecks, constraint workstations, and line imbalances.
  • Drive improvements to reduce queue time, improve line linearity, and increase end‑to‑end flow efficiency.

Analyze Equipment Behavior

  • Perform deep‑dive analysis on tool downtime, rate loss, alarms, recipe change losses, and quality‑related events.
  • Use equipment logs, MES data, and dashboards to detect abnormal patterns and recurring performance gaps.
  • Lead structured root‑cause investigations in collaboration with equipment, process, and IE teams.

Drive ZBA (Zero‑Based Analysis) and Golden Tool Performance

  • Lead ZBA (Zero‑Based Analysis) to systematically identify and eliminate fab capability detractors.
  • Benchmark tool and workstation performance against golden‑tool standards and best‑in‑class references.
  • Break down OEE gaps by availability, rate, operational, and quality losses to define actionable improvement plans.
  • Track ZBA actions, ensure disciplined execution, and quantify realized capacity and OEE gains.

Lead Continuous Improvement Projects

  • Drive cross‑functional improvement initiatives targeting rate loss reduction, tool stability, and throughput optimization.
  • Standardize best practices and successful improvements across similar tools and workstations.
  • Leverage automation, analytics, and alerting systems to improve responsiveness and sustain gains.

Reporting & Communication

  • Develop and maintain OEE and ZBA dashboards, weekly performance reviews, and management summaries.
  • Communicate insights, priorities, and improvement progress clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment across manufacturing, planning, equipment, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment engineering, or factory optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in equipment data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with OEE management, rate-loss analysis, or productivity improvement.
  • Familiarity with MES systems, data visualization tools, and equipment log analysis.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams.
