Reporting to the General Mill Manager, the Manager, Safety & Health provides strategic leadership and technical expertise to the mill leadership team to advance our mission of being the safest company in the forest products industry. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving comprehensive safety and health strategies that drive a culture of zero incidents and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and demonstrated experience with safety management systems such as VPP, OHSAS 18001 (or ISO 45001), and related frameworks. This leader will also bring practical expertise in values-based and behavior-based safety programs, industrial hygiene principles, Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plans (RMP), NFPA standards, and workers’ compensation management.
This position requires a proactive, visible leader who can influence at all levels of the organization, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture where safety is a core value.
