Key Responsibilities
1. Automation System Ownership & Enhancement
Lead the development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fab automation workflows, including equipment‑level automation, handling systems, and system recovery processes.
Deploy new automation technologies and cross‑site best practices to enhance robustness, throughput, and system reliability.
Improve spare‑parts logistics by developing automated transport, routing, and storage mechanisms to increase speed, accuracy, and labor efficiency.
2. AI‑Enabled Parts Management
Implement AI / machine‑learning tools for: Forecasting spare‑parts demand, Predicting failure rates & recommended stocking levels, Anomaly detection for abnormal usage, high scrap risk, or supplier quality drift, Optimizing reorder quantity, safety stock, and lifecycle extension
Integrate data pipelines across ME systems, warehouse systems, and vendor portals to build intelligent dashboards supporting decision making.
3. Inventory, Logistics & Warehouse Optimization
Oversee end‑to‑end spare parts operations—procurement alignment, incoming quality, storage condition control, kitting, distribution, and return/repair loop.
Design and deploy automated warehouse processes (AGV/AMR integration, smart shelves, barcode/RFID tracking) to elevate material flow efficiency.
Work closely with ISM, PUR, and OCT spare parts team to ensure correct sourcing strategy, vendor performance, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
4. Cross‑Functional Leadership & Collaboration
Partner with ME all departments to align critical parts strategy, address chronic shortages, and support equipment performance metrics.
Collaborate with ISM & PUR for supplier management, inventory planning, and risk mitigation.
Coordinate with OCT spare parts team to standardize systems, leverage corporate inventory pools, and scale best practices across sites.
Lead structured problem solving using SPC, FMEA, 8D methodologies
5. People Leadership & Operational Governance
Develop, coach, and empower engineering and technician teams; shape a culture of ownership, innovation, AI adoption, and continuous improvement.
Define SOPs, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with safety, EHS, and audit policies.
Track and report automation KPIs, inventory accuracy, cost‑saving progress, and operational risks.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate degree or above in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
5+ years of experience in semiconductor equipment engineering, automation systems, parts management, or equivalent technical operations.
Technical Skills
Experience with fab automation systems, equipment interlocks, transport systems, or automation control logic.
Practical knowledge of AI/ML applications—or a strong willingness to learn and adopt AI for parts prediction, anomaly detection, and optimization.
Strong data analysis skills (SPC, FMEA, 8D, statistical tools, Python/SQL is a plus).
Understanding of warehouse automation technologies (AGV/AMR, RFID, smart storage systems).
Soft Skills
Strong leadership, cross-functional communication, and project management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic semiconductor environment.
English proficiency for cross‑site collaboration and technical documentation.
