The Manager of Cybersecurity Risk and Compliance is responsible for overseeing key cybersecurity functions and initiatives that support the company’s information security program. The manager will lead Risk and Compliance, Identity Management and Data Protection functions. They will translate security strategy into operational execution, coordinate cross functional security activities, and ensure cybersecurity controls and processes align with business and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities/Expectations: 

  • Safeguards the protection, availability, and resiliency of company systems and strategic digital assets
  • Aligns cybersecurity operational practices with overall business objectives and strategy
  • Collaborates with cross enterprise stakeholders to strengthen incident response and recovery
  • Facilitates the use of technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement products and services to provide a strong cybersecurity architecture to ensure confidentiality and meet business requirements
  • Oversees the lifecycle management of all IAM technologies and their associated infrastructure, while assessing the broader impact of current decisions related to user access, data access, and information security
  • Leads enterprise-wide cybersecurity risk assessments, penetration testing and third-party risk analysis
  • Trains and educates employees on cybersecurity awareness and compliance requirements
  • Other duties as assigned 

Education/Years of Experience: 

  • Required: Bachelor's degree and minimum of seven (7) years' experience in IT, including a minimum of two (2) years in a formal or informal leadership role
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or related IT /Engineering Degree 

Other Requirements: 

  • Displays strong leadership and ability to communicate across organizational levels
  • Understands cybersecurity risk management principles, incident awareness and response coordination, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) fundamentals
  • Manages conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Maintains a continuous improvement mindset
  • Thinks strategically with risk-based judgment
  • Experience with change management and adaptability
  • Preferred: experience with project management
  • Preferred: experience with budget forecasting
  • Preferred: experience using AI Security tools
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority 
  • Preferred: Security Certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, OSCP, CRISC)
  • Preferred: Understanding of regulatory controls (TSA Pipeline Security Directives, NERC CIP, SOX)
