Overview:

Manager, Construction Management

The Manager, Construction is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing assigned construction and renovation projects within the healthcare organization to ensure alignment with strategic goals, compliance with regulatory standards, and delivery on time and within budget. This role manages multiple capital improvement and infrastructure projects, working closely with internal stakeholders (clinical, administrative, and facilities teams) and external vendors (architects, contractors, consultants) to ensure healthcare facilities meet operational, safety, and patient care standards.  

 

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Required) 

  • Degree study programs: Engineering, Architecture, or relate field required

 

Experience 

  • 3 years of construction management experience (Required) 

  • Previous experience in Healthcare Construction and/or Project Management

Certifcation:

  • No required license or certification required for this position

Hybrid position (primary location Sentara Park, Virginia Beach, VA)

Travel coverage to all 12 hospitals in the Sentara Health system required

Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written)

Ability to work well with a wide range of Stakeholders across many projects
