Metrology Specialist
The opportunity
Join the Quality team at the Alamo, TN facility. You will ensure dimensional accuracy for transformer components and support high‑precision manufacturing. You will work with advanced CMM technology, collaborate with Engineering and Operations, and help drive accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement.
How you’ll make an impact
- Program and optimize CMMs using PC‑DMIS 2023 or newer.
- Perform first‑article, in‑process, and final inspections.
- Operate precision measurement tools and metrology equipment.
- Interpret drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and 3D models.
- Produce accurate dimensional reports.
- Support Engineering with tooling and fixture validation.
- Communicate inspection findings to cross‑functional teams.
- Promote safety, integrity, and quality.
Your background
- High School diploma, associate degree, or equivalent technical experience.
- 5–7 years in metrology, CMM programming, or quality inspection.
- Proficient with PC‑DMIS 2023 or newer.
- Strong GD&T knowledge per ASME Y14.5.
- Skilled with micrometers, calipers, height gages, and indicators.
- Proficient in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.
- Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, or digital quality systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
