Accountabilities:
- Lead and develop the metrology team by supervising technicians and contractors, while coaching and mentoring staff in calibration practices and diagnostics.
- Own calibration across R&D research lab space, ensuring cGxP-compliant documentation and audit readiness.
- Assure accuracy in Quality Control labs by managing calibration and repair of QC instrumentation.
- Support Analytical Quality Testing labs by overseeing calibration for routine analytical equipment.
- Maintain Facilities process equipment through calibration and functional checks.
- Guide infrastructure metrology by leading calibration for infrastructure equipment.
- Drive vendor performance by coordinating with instrumentation vendors and external service providers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation failures.
- Manage CMMS data integrity by partnering with SAP PM specialists.
- Plan and schedule work to minimize operational disruption while meeting compliance requirements.
- Assure safety and compliance by monitoring work environments and enforcing SOPs.
- Continuously improve service and calibration performance through trend analysis and process improvements.
- Contribute to budgeting and resource planning for metrology needs.
- Build partnerships with various teams to meet department and company objectives.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Associates degree in engineering or technology-focused discipline. Military PMEL experience in lieu of degree.
- 0-5 years of industry experience.
- Leadership in metrology/calibration across laboratory environments and site utilities/infrastructure within GxP contexts; demonstrated work with low-complexity analytical devices and facilities instrumentation.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, calibration methods, diagnostics, uncertainty and traceability, and CMMS (SAP PM preferred).
- Working knowledge of cGxP, documentation best practices, audit readiness, and data integrity principles.
- Proven ability to partner across R&D, QC/Analytical labs, Facilities, Engineering, Validation, QA, and vendors; clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage complex assignments with sound judgment, prioritization, and initiative.
- Commitment to safe work practices and hazard recognition across lab and plant environments.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience with Building Management Systems, HVAC controls, utility instrumentation, chiller/boiler plant equipment, and energy metering.
- Experience developing SOPs, quality documents, KPIs, and using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Track record of training and mentoring technicians in calibration procedures, standards handling, and technical documentation.

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $102,368.80 to $153,553.20 Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
