Metal and Mechanical Fabricator Technician

About The Role

We are seeking a Metal and Mechanical Fabricator Technician with strong electrical expertise in low-voltage systems to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components, integrating mechanical systems, and performing electrical wiring and troubleshooting for low-voltage applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, and electrical work, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

What You Will Do

  • Fabricate, cut, weld, and assemble metal components according to engineering specifications including fabrication of various production jigs and fixtures
  • Perform mechanical assembly of frames, enclosures, and structural components.
  • Install and route low-voltage wiring for electrical systems and components.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Operate fabrication tools and equipment (e.g., saws, grinders, welders, bending machines).
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies.

What You Bring

  • Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in metal fabrication and mechanical assembly.
  • Working knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and wiring practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Proficient in using fabrication tools and electrical testing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials and work in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with CNC machines or advanced fabrication techniques.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and OSHA compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs or control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
