Moderna is seeking a dedicated MESH Customer Data Steward US Commercial, Trade & Fulfillment to ensure accurate, timely, and policy-compliant customer master data as part of US Commercial Operations. This role is critical to driving operations efficiency and supporting customer transactions across all departments with quality US customer master data within our growing Enterprise Solutions Hub (MESH) in Warsaw.

In this role, you will be at the heart of our customer master data management operations.  You will assist the Associate Director, Customer Master Data in executing Customer master data onboarding, maintenance and inactivations while complying to applicable policies and standards. 

This highly visible role, will directly interface with other US Commercial functions to solve problems through great master data.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Execute the end-to-end Customer Master Data lifecycle (creation, maintenance, inactivation) to ensure data integrity, consistency, and usability across all downstream systems

  • Proactively support the customer master data work queues and escalate process blockers when necessary

  • Ensure your work is conducted per data policies, standards, and governance practices in place.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational challenges, share metrics, and align on improvements.

  • Respond to internal inquiries in a timely, professional manner

  • Prepare analysis and reporting for leadership and stakeholders

  • Lead incident triage and root cause resolution for customer data issues impacting business operations, ensuring preventive actions are implemented and communicated.

  • Support continuous improvement in stewardship processes, tools (e.g., Collibra), documentation, and contribute to operational innovations.  Provide input to and comply with master data maintenance standard procedures and work instructions.

  • Assist in monitoring and reporting on non-compliance issues and contribute to continuous process improvements

  • Contribute to the next generation of Customer master data management through identification of operational improvements to master data related tools.

  • Partner with the Digital team to ensure tools and applications function as designed

  • Support testing and validation of system enhancements and new functionalities in SAP, MDG, and future technologies, as applicable

  • Undertake additional duties aligned to the scope of the role and your qualifications

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 3+ yrs experience on master data management teams creating and maintaining records.

  • 2+ yrs experience working with master data software

  • Ability to own, prioritize and manage work with limited daily direction

  • Anticipate needs and proactively recommend next steps

  • Well-organized, proactive, able to prioritize in a dynamic environment

  • Strong communication skills and ability to transfer knowledge in plain non-technical language

  • Highly collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and make decisions

  • Adaptable and resourceful with a process-oriented mindset

  • Outstanding analytical skills

  • Experience with financial systems including SAP, Ariba, ServiceNow

  • Proficiency in English (verbal and/or written) required due to global collaboration needs.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • 3-5 yrs experience in master data management; Pharma/bio-tech/life sciences experience preferred. 

  • 2+ yrs experience working with SAP S4 or SAP MDG master data software

  • Strong understanding of Customer Master Data Management Processes

  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and be hand’s on

  • Experience with data governance solutions such as Collibra, Alation, or similar

  • Business savvy and partnering skills to understand context/use cases, ask meaningful questions, and provide fitting support.

  • Familiarity with data regulations and requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, GxP/21 CFR Part 11 is a bonus

  • Well-organized & detail-driven with expertise in stakeholder management

  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity, and precision both written and verbal

  • Entrepreneurial owner mindset, self-driven with a first principles approach to problem-solving

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international, cross-functional environment

  • Proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable process improvements

  • Highly collaborative and adaptable, with a process-driven approach and a strong sense of ownership
