MES Training Specialist - 1st Shift

nVent is seeking a MES Specialist to support the design, deployment, and ongoing execution of Tulip applications at a manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, onsite role focused on developing and supporting MES solutions that are actively used on the manufacturing floor.

The specialist will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations and be responsible for the implementation, use and management of Tulip Training Applications including the Skill Manager and Training Manager. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment and engage directly with operators and end users.

Must-Have Skills

  • Hands-on experience with use of MES training apps to evaluate employee skills and knowledge through practical assessments and observations..
  • Proven background supporting manufacturing or production environments
  • Experience delivering shop-floor execution and operator-facing applications
  • Strong understanding of MES workflows, real-time data capture, and production tracking
  • Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance live MES applications
  • Excellent communication skills with manufacturing and operations stakeholders
  • Comfortable working onsite in a dynamic, production-focused setting
  • Comfortable with facilitating hands-on training for new hires and current employees.
  • A hands-on, practical approach to training with a passion for teaching and a genuine desire to help others develop new skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex information and present it in an easy-to-understand manner for adult learners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • An Associate's degree or relevant experience in a field associated with manufacturing engineering. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience training, leading and/or mentoring individuals. Prior experience in instructing, training, or mentoring specific role is highly preferred

  • The ideal candidate brings strong, hands-on MES expertise combined with experience supporting manufacturing execution systems in regulated environments.
  • They are comfortable owning training applications end to end, working directly with operators, and providing real-time, on-the-floor support.
  • This individual is execution-driven, self-directed, and capable of delivering immediate value with minimal supervision.

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$26.10 - $48.50 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
