Location/Division Specific Information:

This role is in the Single Use Division and will be performed at our Logan, Utah location.

What will you do?

Contribute significantly to a developing Operations Technology (OT) team that is rapidly improving, linking manufacturing operations with IT via digital solutions to improve our production methods.

  • Become the technical subject matter expert on our Electronic Batch Record (EBR) & Manufacturing Execution System (MES or equivalent experience) platform, understanding system architecture, functionality, and capabilities

  • Serve as the main contact for technical inquiries, problems, routine updates, and interested party issues for the EBR/MES platform

  • Act as the liaison between operations and IT, translating user needs and issues into current or upcoming system functionalities

  • Lead improvement projects within the system either independently through system self-service capabilities or by coordinating with IT to launch a larger development project

  • Aid in deploying EBR/MES at every production site throughout the global network

  • Lead the harmonization of systems across all global network manufacturing sites, ensuring alignment with the broader digitalization strategy of the business

  • Grasp complete system functionality to suggest & back up additional system integration into MES functionality that brings value to the business and operations

  • Build collaborative and effective working relationships with factory leadership, production personnel, engineering, quality, and IT teams located across the globe

  • Up to 10% travel between sites depending on project achievements

Education

  • Minimum required Education: BS in a technical field (Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent) – engineering preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience within manufacturing or Operations technical field (3 with advanced degree)

  • Proven experience launching and maintaining MES platforms (preferably Siemens OpCenter/Camstar) required

  • Hands-on working experience with Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform preferred

  • Familiarity with and experience in SQL queries for MS SQL Server or Oracle is helpful

  • Proficiency in scripting (Python) & Power BI is desired

  • Experience working in a discrete manufacturing setting and manufacturing process improvement (especially in medical device or pharmaceutical industry) preferred

  • Ability to identify and receive ambiguous problems and decompose complex problems through systems thinking to provide clarity

  • Strong leadership and project management skills; ability to guide cross-functional teams through complex, multi-site initiatives.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into actionable business insights.

  • Having a strong grasp of Lean Manufacturing principles, able to apply automation and technology advancements to reduce waste, minimize variations, and improve process flow and equipment efficiency.

  • Competency in Microsoft Office and other standard business applications.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
