Mergers and Acquisitions Senior Financial Analyst
Description -
The M&A Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions within HP. This role involves conducting due diligence, developing and executing financial integration plans, facilitating cross-functional problem-solving, managing and driving closure of issues, and implementing ongoing process improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience in Mergers and Acquisitions Finance, strong project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Responsibilities
- Plan and lead end-to-end integration program across one or multiple deals, including:
- Liaison with Business Unit Finance, Corporate Development and Acquired company Finance leadership to triage Integration Strategy
- Develop the Integration Charter, Guiding Principles, and Integration Finance support team.
- Conduct the Finance Integration kickoff and planning workshops
- Meet with target / acquired company Finance team as needed to ensure they understand the integration process
- Ensure all Finance functional integration leaders understand their roles and responsibilities
- Developing integrated Finance functional project plans
- Oversee and monitor all functional work to manage risk, ensure issue resolution and facilitate timely completion of Finance integration activities
- Develop and deliver regular executive status updates
- Develop and execute forward-thinking strategies to support long-term growth
- Counsel finance leaders and recommend approach for executing high-level strategies and offer creative solutions and ideas.
- Prioritize and triage Finance integration activities, initiatives and risks to complete Finance integration according to plan and make planning and execution decisions
- Manage interdependence between Finance functions so activities are prioritized and sequenced correctly
- Support cross-functional teams as needed to facilitate closure of Finance integration activities
- Evaluate the Financial risks associated with an integration and mitigate them to the most reasonable extent possible
- Escalate issues requiring executive input so they are resolved quickly and effectively
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations. Regularly engage with executive stakeholders to build culture of transparency and trust
- Define integration exit / business as usual handover criteria and ensure exit criteria are met, reviewed, and approved by functional leadership
- Document any handoffs to business line leaders at the end of the transition period
- Capture lessons learned and recommendations for future acquisitions
Education and Experience Required
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.
- Preferred M&A Integration experience, preferably in Finance

The pay range for this role is $105,050 to $161,800 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
