RELEX Solutions delivers a unified supply chain planning platform for retailers and manufacturers, enabled by proven AI technology. We help companies optimize demand forecasting, replenishment, merchandising, pricing and promotions, supply chain operations, and production planning across the end-to-end value chain.
In response to our fast growth and market expansion, we are looking for a Merchandising Presales Principal to join our German team
What you’ll be doing:
Working closely with the Account Executives, Customer operations, product and customer success teams you will working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to close new deals and maximise business value with both new and existing RELEX customers.
The prime focus for this role is to assist in establishing, developing and executing the Relex space and assortment go to market strategy in the DACH region extending to Europe and APAC as required.
You will support the Sales VP’s in:
- Identifying key prospects in the prime market to ensure a successful targeted approach
- Define messaging and strategies to ensure successful positioning and selling of the solutions
You will support the customer operations teams in:
- Ensuring that the transition from sales to project is successful and that the client is engaged with the approach – specifically during the initial phases of key projects.
- Ensuring project estimations are in line with the scope required to be successful and are positioned with correct context
- Acting as a key stakeholder with existing accounts where appropriate
- Engage with the operations teams to assist with successful growth plans
You will support sales opportunities by ensuring prospective customers:
- Understand the business value of working with RELEX
- Build the customer’s confidence and trust in the RELEX software and team’s ability to deliver on their strategic goals and deliver that business value,
- Create a vision of the future partnership potential between RELEX and the customer.
You will support the Relex partner teams
- In developing / supporting parter activities in the area of Merchandising.
You will support the product strategy team on a regular basis:
- To provide industry expertise on the future of merchandising based on own experience and ongoing needs of retailers
- To challenge product roadmaps to ensure solutions are developed with the customer in mind
- To be the link between the prospect and Relex internal teams
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Understanding the customer’s current situation and strategic goals by planning and conducting business discovery workshops
- Calculating the business case using customer data
- Helping the customer understand how they will attain business value with RELEX by
- Providing retail process consultancy, challenging the customer’s thinking and giving insight into industry best practise
- Preparing and delivering solution presentations and demonstrations
- Highlighting how we differ from our competition
- Building trust between the customer and the entire RELEX organisation by open, honest and transparent engagement, being clear about our current and future capabilities
- Describing our implementation methodology and building confidence in our ability to deliver successful projects.
- Understanding and articulating our customer case studies and references, demonstrating how we have provided value to others.
- Managing, co-ordinating and ensuring the quality of formal responses to RFIs, RFPs, etc.
- Communicating the excitement and desire we have to make a genuine difference to our customers, deliver measurable business benefit and be their trusted advisor.

- Excellent understanding of the retail business and retail processes, both now and how they might change in the future gained through working directly for a retailer or a consultancy/software provider focussed on the retail industry
- Excellent understanding of RELEX’s solution areas with a key focus on the Merchandising practice (MFP, Assortment, space planning, pricing and promotions) . A good understanding of Inventory Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment and Workforce Optimisation is a strong advantage .
- Enthusiasm for solving any individual business challenges of retailers.
