Merchandising Intern (6 months)

As a Merchandising Intern, you’ll support the EMEA Merchandising team in executing product strategies, analysing sales data, and optimizing product assortments across retail and e-commerce channels. 

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced, global environment and contribute to the success of a premium outdoor lifestyle brand.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of seasonal merchandising plans for the EMEA region.

  • Help provide an execution plan per channel, including product selection, assortment and productintroduction date on the product categories.

  • Support the team in analyzing sales performance, inventory levels, and market trends, identifyingrisks and opportunities.

  • Help maintain product data accuracy across internal systems and external platforms.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain.

  • Participate in competitive analysis and market research to identify new opportunities.

  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for internal stakeholders.

  • Support the execution of product launches and promotional campaigns.

  • Preparing and updating Excel reports and presentations

  • Own your own project – during interview (strategic research report, etc.)

Qualifications
 

  • Experience required: previous experience in the sports industryappreciated (retail in-store experience, previous internshipexperience, event coordination).

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing,Sports Management, or a related field.

  • Specific skills: Organized, rigorous, autonomous, motivated, anddynamic. Ability to analyze and make recommendations.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communicationskills.

  • Foreign language(s): Fluent English, any additional language is a +(Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Italian).

  • Computer skills: Pack Office, Excel agility appreciated, ability toadapt to new software.

  • Other specific cross-disciplinary skills: Interest in sports in general(outdoor sports such as running, hiking, and skiing would be a plus),interest in the US culture and curiosity for new practices.

  • Interest in product strategy, trends, and commercial performance.
