Job Description:

Grand Canyon University is seeking an MEP Student Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU's Facilities Department. The Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing (MEP) Student Worker provides administrative support to the MEP operations team within the Facilities Management department. This role is responsible for assisting with project planning and management, assist maintaining accurate records, assist with coordinating maintenance schedules, assist with procurement, and facilitating effective communication between team members and other university departments. The coordinator ensures the smooth operation of administrative tasks and supports the MEP team in their efforts to maintain and optimize the university's infrastructure, assets and facilities.
 

Purpose Within the Organization:

Assist in GCU's mission through service, by working beside the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Facilities Team in their efforts to maintain and optimize the university's infrastructure, assets and facilities.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Project Planning
  • Assist with Administrative Tasks
  • Assist with work orders management.
  • Arranging Services or Repairs from vendors.
  • Creating and editing spreadsheets
  • Prepare and process documents, reports, and correspondence.
  • Maintain and update records and filing systems, both electronic and paper based.
  • Enter and update data in maintenance management system and other software.
  • Manage office supplies and equipment for the MEP team.
  • Assist with the organization and cleanliness of the office and work areas.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
     

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.

Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 as Master level student.
  • Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
     

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements. 
 

Pay rate: Minimum Wage
