That is why we need you, an experienced Mental Health, Resilience, & Suicide Expert who can provide high-level expertise and high-quality support for mental health, suicide prevention, health psychology, and applied quantitative research.
As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical advisor to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies.
You'll serve as a Mental Health, Resilience, & Suicide Prevention Expert helping clients to develop stakeholder management strategies, establish new business processes, and complete research and analysis to determine viable solutions. You will be responsible for managing incoming requirements, facilitating engagements within offices and across the Agency, and are readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success.
What You’ll Work On:
Provide expert guidance in mental health, resilience, suicide prevention, and applied quantitative research to shape and execute high‑risk and high‑reward R&D programs.
Lead and coordinate teams to ensure analytical rigor, strategic alignment, and consistency in technical evaluations and milestone development.
Advise program leadership on strategy, technical direction, portfolio execution, and emerging scientific or operational risks.
Develop technical theses, measurable milestones, evaluation frameworks, and risk‑mitigation strategies to support programs from concept through execution.
Assess proposals, study designs, statistical methods, feasibility, and real‑world impact while managing performance metrics and evaluation frameworks.
Prepare executive‑level briefings, decision materials, and portfolio updates while coordinating across financial, public affairs, contracting, and technical stakeholders.
Engage subject‑matter experts, performers, and strategic partners to drive cross‑disciplinary collaboration and interagency technical engagement.

You Have:
8+ years of experience in mental health research, including suicide prevention
Experience interacting and communicating with senior-level executives
Experience with using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience leading complex research initiatives and multidisciplinary teams
Experience with mental health clinical trials design and meta-analysis
Experience advising government leadership or supporting federal programs
Doctorate degree in social psychology, clinical psychology, health psychology, neuroscience, or biomedical engineering
Nice If You Have:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
