The Role
MindSpot Clinic, as part of Macquarie University Health, is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Registered Health Professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional mental healthcare services to Australian patients via digital omni-channels e.g., telephone and secure messaging including psychological assessment, treatments, and referrals (where applicable).
This role would be ideal for Professionals within the Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, Counsellors or Occupational Therapists space. Multiple positions are available, including full-time and part-time openings
MindSpot operates from 8am to 8pm EST Mon – Fri and 8am to 6pm EST on Sat. You will be rostered to work 7.6 hours on a permanent roster which would include mostly day shifts and up to 2 evening shifts for full timers. You will be rostered one Saturday every 4-6 weeks and get a Rostered Day Off.
Key Accountabilities
Provide high-quality and evidence-based and patient-centered online clinical services to Mindspot patients including psychological assessment and delivery of treatment courses.
Participate in the development, review and implementation of new and existing assessment and treatment courses.
Liaise and coordinate with relevant healthcare providers in relation to the provision of clinical care.
Promptly advise referring medical practitioners of any patient’s findings that require immediate clinical attention
Enter and maintain patient data and records into MindSpot’s electronic databases and medical systems.
Identify and escalate clinical, IT and/or operational issues or risks to ensure the safety and effectiveness of clinical service delivery.
Participate in periodically clinical reviews, patient safety and quality outcomes.

Tertiary qualification in allied health – psychology, occupational therapy, nursing, social work, counselling or any related disciplines with registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or any relevant registration body.
For provisional psychologists, eligibility for provisional registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
At least 2 years of experience in providing mental healthcare services across a range of contexts and populations. Digital mental health service is highly regarded.
Experienced in CBT treatment, risk assessments and intervention.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills in both verbal and written contexts.
Commitment to continuous improvement with a focus on evidence-based and patient-centered clinical practices.
Ability to manage and prioritizes workloads within established routines, methods and procedures.
Ability to collaboratively work within multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
Demonstrated teamwork with exceptional interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
