About the Role
Lyra’s Mental Health Coaches are part of our innovative video and text based coaching program called Lyra Care Coaching. This program blends live video sessions with between-session digital lessons and content. We provide our state of the art technology platform and the clients so you can focus on what you do best: offering high-quality mental health coaching.
Daily: As a part-time Mental Health Coach, you'll provide short-term, evidence-based coaching sessions with adults via video.
- Support clients around their emotional and mental health by practicing empathy, holding a warm, safe space, exploring difficult emotions, focusing on coaching the person rather than trying to solve or fix the problem, and offering research-backed skills and practices
- Share digital lessons, activities, and assessments with your clients between video-based sessions to enhance learning and monitor client improvement
- Work a structured part-time schedule hosting a minimum of 16 client sessions and working approximately 24 hours per week
- Engage in ongoing clinical consultation with Lyra’s expert clinical team who will help you ensure clients are in the right form of care
- Participate in continuing education and ongoing peer consultation with fellow coaches
- Meet regularly with your Supervisor for 1:1s, session reviews, and ongoing performance support to ensure high quality outcomes, Lyra model integration, and continued growth and development
- In your first month: Enjoy comprehensive onboarding with dedicated live training sessions and self study to thoughtfully ramp up to full client caseload of 16 sessions per week while deepening your coaching practice
An important note: Lyra's clients come from a multitude of different backgrounds and experiences, and have varying needs and abilities. We strive to continue to meet their unique needs by delivering culturally responsive care—an approach that accounts for the impact of cultural backgrounds on each person’s care experience.
Regularly: Lyra supports your growth with our paid ICF-certified Mental Health Coaching training and ongoing coach development opportunities, amplifying your current skill set. Lyra coaches also enjoy the diverse coaching community by connecting with peers in group consultations and attending community events.
