We are seeking a talented Member of Technical Staff (MTS - Level 2 Software Engineer) to develop and enhance a secure, scalable telehealth platform that enables seamless virtual interactions between patients and providers.

About the Team

The Patient Experience subdivision (PEX) is focused on our patients; empowering patients to seamlessly manage their health and wellness as active partners with their healthcare team.  We are dedicated to transforming how patients interact with healthcare by building innovative software solutions that give patients unprecedented control over their health journey while streamlining workflows for healthcare staff.

The Telehealth team is part of PEX division, focused on empowering patients to take control of their health journey. We develop secure, user-friendly platforms for virtual care through video, audio, and messaging channels. Our tech stack includes:

  • Frontend: JavaScript, React, TypeScript
  • Backend: Java microservices
  • Infrastructure: AWS Cloud

We embrace agile development, continuous learning, and cross-functional collaboration.

Your Role

You will develop and enhance secure telehealth features, including video consultations, remote check-ins, and patient communications. You’ll collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to deliver scalable, high-performing software that enhances virtual healthcare experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop front-end applications with technologies such as JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML, CSS
  • Write clean, maintainable code aligned with best practices, ensuring security, performance, and scalability.
  • Deliver valuable software features and services by accurately estimating tasks, debugging, testing, and deploying code reliably.
  • Work with cloud platforms (AWS) to deploy and manage telehealth infrastructure.
  • Collaborate in Agile teams, participate actively in sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues promptly and deliver timely fixes.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong foundation in data structures, OOP, and analytical problem solving.
  • Proficiency with modern frontend technologies like JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML, and CSS.
  • Willingness to explore and work with legacy and monolith systems as part of the platform.
  • Ability to write robust, scalable, and readable code.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Flexibility to occasionally support production issues involving U.S. time zones.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related STEM field.
  • Experience designing technical solutions based on product requirements.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development, containerization (Docker), and AWS services.
