PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $32-$36 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Member Consultant Lead at North Spokane, you’ll be more than a financial guide—you’ll be a mentor, coach, and trusted partner for both members and your team. You’ll deliver exceptional service while ensuring smooth branch operations, resolving escalated issues, and empowering members with the tools they need to thrive. Your leadership will set the tone for service excellence, team collaboration, and operational success.

This role goes far beyond processing transaction. It’s about delivering a white‑glove experience that makes every member feel valued, championing new memberships to grow our community, and empowering colleagues while driving the branch toward its sales, service, and quality goals.

Compensation Transparency:

We believe in fair and equitable pay for all employees. The listed pay ranges reflect our commitment to both internal equity and market competitiveness:

Member Consultant Lead: $32-$36, depending on years of Financial Institution experience.
 

Offers are made within this range, taking into account experience, skills, and alignment with internal team compensation. Please note that starting pay typically does not exceed the range midpoint.

Travel Expectations:

  • Training will take place at designated BECU Financial Centers.

  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations may be required.

Schedule Expectations:

  • This is a full‑time position with core hours typically between 8:00 AM and 6:30 PM during the week.

  • Saturday's are required on a rotational basis from 8:30am-1:30pm.

  • Flexibility is required, including evenings, weekends, or additional hours as needed to meet branch objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Deliver Exceptional Service: Assist members with inquiries and transactions, ensuring satisfaction and promoting remote services.

  • Resolve Escalations: Handle complex member concerns, authorize exceptions, and provide solutions that build trust.

  • Coach & Mentor: Support consultants with questions, provide feedback, and foster professional growth.

  • Drive Branch Success: Partner with managers to monitor workflow, staffing, and performance, ensuring service and quality objectives are met.

  • Enhance Processes: Recommend improvements to procedures, products, and workflows for greater efficiency.

  • Lead by Example: Maintain signing authority, oversee audits, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Communicate effectively with leadership and staff to align on goals and strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.

  • Three years of experience as a Member Consultant at BECU or equivalent.

  • Experience in a leadership or mentor role.

  • Strong PC skills and ability to learn new software.

  • Excellent communication, problem resolution, and coaching skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and present a professional image.

  • Flexibility to adapt to departmental and organizational changes.

  • Compliance with SAFE Act legislation, requiring annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

  • Proficiency in promoting and cross‑selling Credit Union products and services.
