A bit about the role …

You will be responsible for financial health and operational excellence that supports a portfolio managed by all Emota workstreams, by supporting delivery teams, managing budgets and maintaining compliance with client and internal processes.

You will combine your financial oversight with operational support, and a client-focused process management approach to guide efficiency, profitability, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.

What will you do …

Operational Support:

· Initiate projects correctly with systems / tools (Smartsheet, Box, HubSpot) and valid timelines

· Monitor time tracking, margins, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle

· Follow and contribute to development of client SOPs specific to finance

Client Operations:

· Provide data for client business reviews and RFPs

· Attend and contribute to client meetings

· Work with client key stakeholders

· Travel on-site to meetings and events internationally (1–2 major events per year) to stay close to project delivery and client needs

Continuous Improvement:

· Improve the execution of the preliminary and final project cross charge reports

· Periodically review systems and processes to identify areas for improvement

· Support teams with cash flow processes and billing stages

· Promote process excellence and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives

General:

· Attend and contribute at team and financial meetings

· Ensure compliance with all company and client policies and procedures

· Apply an understanding of clients' businesses and products

· Assist new starters by taking on the role of 'Buddy'

· Understand, apply and promote our mission, vision and values

· Achieve quality and accuracy of output following company processes and client expectations

· Organise, plan and prioritise your own workload to meet goals and deadlines

What do you need to have …

· A minimum of 5 years experience working in a corporate finance role, ideally in meetings and events

· Strong commercial acumen

· The ability and experience to manage a high volume of complex multi-currency budgets

· Proficient in financial and project planning tools such as Smartsheet, Box and Cvent is advantageous

· Advanced level of Excel and intermediate level of Word and PowerPoint

· Friendly and professional communication skills

· A focus on accuracy, consistency and dedication to customer service

· Ability to work within a team as well as independently

· An excellent communicator and problem solver

· A proactive, can-do, attitude

· Calm and exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst ensuring the highest standard of work
