The MedTech Sr. Director, Data & Technology‑Enabled Solutions Strategy Lead is responsible for defining, shaping, and advancing MedTech data and technology‑enabled solution strategy across the IQVIA Global MedTech business unit. This role serves as a senior strategic leader at the intersection of data assets, technology platforms, analytics, and commercial solutions, ensuring offerings are market‑relevant, scalable, and aligned to growth priorities.
 

This role leads MedTech‑focused solution strategy across data and technology‑enabled capabilities, with accountability spanning opportunity identification, market readiness, and lifecycle evolution. The Sr. Director holds end‑to‑end strategic ownership for MedTech‑specific solutions and partners closely with RBUs to influence enterprise data assets, ensuring they are fit‑for‑purpose for MedTech use cases and commercial objectives. Operating with broad autonomy and senior‑level influence, the role drives MedTech go‑to‑market differentiation, portfolio coherence, and measurable business impact.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Solution & Portfolio Strategy:

  • Define and lead the MedTech strategy for data‑ and technology‑enabled solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities, client needs, and market trends.
  • Identify white‑space opportunities and unmet client needs; translate them into differentiated solutions.
    • Own solution vision, roadmap, and investment rationale across assigned portfolios.

Product & Offering Leadership:

  • Partner with Technology, Data, and Analytics teams to ensure solutions are fit‑for‑purpose, secure, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Influence and guide prioritization decisions across features, capabilities, and enhancements based on client value and commercial return.

Commercial & Go‑to‑Market Enablement:

  • Define solution positioning, value propositions, and differentiation in partnership with Commercial, GTM, and Marketing teams.
  • Lead pricing, packaging, and commercial model development to ensure revenue growth and margin integrity.
  • Support complex deals, RFPs, and strategic client engagements as a senior subject‑matter expert.

Cross‑Functional Leadership:

  • Serve as a strategic connector across Product, Technology, Data, Analytics, Sales, and Delivery organizations.
  • Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, aligning teams around shared objectives and execution plans.
  • Establish governance, decision frameworks, and success metrics for solution performance.
     

Market & Performance Management:

  • Monitor solution adoption, client outcomes, and financial performance; drive continuous improvement based on data and feedback.
  • Track competitive landscape and emerging technologies to inform strategy evolution.
  • Ensure solutions comply with regulatory, data governance, and quality standards.

Scope & Impact:

  • Strategic ownership of high‑value data and technology‑enabled solution portfolios.
  • Significant influence on revenue growth, client satisfaction, and long‑term platform strategy.
  • Operates at a senior leadership level with visibility across multiple business units and geographies.

Essential Functions:

  • P&L and financial target responsibility for the MedTech Information Solutions and Tech enabled Platforms Global segment.
  • Develops and executes the short- and long-term operating plans and strategies and ensures consistency with corporate and regional objectives.
  • Generates new business by facilitating meetings/presentations and overseeing client proposals.
  • Communicates business strategy, major developments and new initiatives.
     

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • To be eligible for this position, you must reside in the same country where the job is located.
  • US Remote with Travel expected approximately 10% - 20% nationwide.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • 10-12+ years of experience in data, technology, analytics, product, or solution strategy roles, including leadership of complex, cross‑functional initiatives and In-depth knowledge of MedTech industry required.
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling data‑ or technology‑enabled offerings in a B2B or consulting‑led environment.
  • Strong understanding of the MedTech Segment including solution and product strategy leadership.
  • Deep understanding of data, technology platforms, and analytics‑enabled solutions.
  • Commercial acumen (pricing, packaging, GTM, deal support).
  • Executive‑level stakeholder management and influence.
  • Structured problem solving and strategic storytelling with excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate clients’ needs into scalable, repeatable offerings.
  • Strong capabilities with PowerPoint, Excel, CRM and Financial systems
  • Strong commercial marketing, general management and financial skills required.
  • Proven ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels in highly matrixed organizations with excellent management, analytical, interpersonal, organizational and operational skills.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $169,700.00 - $472,700.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
