$64,972.00 - $97,458.00This position is located in the department of psychiatry’s outpatient offices and reports to the chair of psychiatry.Responsibilities:
Maintain an active psychotherapy case load and see 37 hours of patients per week including:
Individual psychotherapy
Family psychotherapy
Group psychotherapy
Follow all DNV, OMH, and AMC guidelines
Properly document and bill for all patient encounters
Work closely with physicians to create a team based approach to patient care
Assist physicians with basic case management as needed
Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Completed Master’s in Social Work
Licensed as LMSW, LCSW or LMHC in New York State or ability to become licensed
At least 2 years of clinical experience providing psychotherapy in an outpatient or inpatient setting
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of various psychotherapy techniques
Knowledge of substance abuse, domestic violence, crisis intervention, case management, housing, and financial services
Ability to work with difficult patients
Ability to assess for crisis intervention needs
Strong documentation skills and ability to comply with regulations
Ability to present information in a concise manner
Ability to coordinate data and present in a meaningful way
Ability to conduct detailed intakes
Ability to supervise and provide feedback to trainees
Knowledge of abuse reporting guidelines and ability to follow them
Ability to conduct case management related tasks
Strong skills using Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills
