Pay Range
$30.70 - $46.05Provides education and support services to patients, families and staff. Also provides psychosocial assessment, counseling, crisis intervention and information/referral services on a consultation basis to patients and families. Works collaboratively with the Clinical Care Management team to effect positive patient and family outcomes and to ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) has taken the community to another level of service to provide care for the growing population of children in our region. At 259 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC. It serves high acuity patients as the flagship children’s hospital within the innovative Atrium Health and offers a full complement of over 125 pediatric subspecialists in over 30 different pediatric specialties. We have 4 pediatric hospitalist teams, a newly expanded 24 bed PICU and 20 bed Cardiac ICU, an 85-bed Level IV NICU, and an inpatient pediatric rehabilitation floor. Levine Children’s Hospital is also Charlotte’s only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center. LCH has been named a Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report for 18 consecutive years and is nationally ranked in 7 pediatric specialties. Additionally, Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital have earned Magnet re-designation from The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program®. Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Works in an office type setting, extensive walking throughout the facility. Prolonged periods of sitting reviewing medical records, documentation. Repetitive wrist motion and occasional lifting of 10-20 pounds. Requires frequent verbal and written communication in English. Intact sight and hearing with or without assistive devices is required. Must be able to handle a fast paced environment, moving independently from one location to another.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Master's degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the council in Social Work Education required. LCSW preferred. If working in the state of South Carolina must meet and maintain license requirements as outlined by the state. At least 1-year professional experience in hospital or health related setting preferred. Expertise with Data Management Tools. Adherence to National Association of Social Workers Code of Ethics.
