Primary Function
The MSL is the medical/scientific voice of expertise for CRDX in the field. This role focuses on medical & scientific engagement with CRDX stakeholders, in close and regular collaboration with appropriate sales and marketing colleagues. The MSL provides medical / scientific expert advice / guidance to key customers for CRDX products & relevant therapeutic areas, including scientific exchange & professional development with key thought leaders / external experts and provides medical / scientific affairs support to the national and local commercial team.
The MSL serves to support the scientific credibility of CRDX with HCPs and national thought leaders, by supporting scientific dialogue and collaboration in areas of research, scientific publications, and medical & scientific exchange, including unsolicited requests for medical information. He/she also interfaces regularly with appropriate national commercial team members. He/she maintains a high level of knowledge to ensure credible dissemination of scientific information and dialogue with thought leaders, healthcare providers, and healthcare organizations. The position reports to the MSA Senior Manager and interacts closely with regional and local staff.
Core Job
- Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to health care providers, individually or in groups (meetings, clinical sessions, etc.), where requested. - Ensures professional and credible relationships with HCPs.
- Ensure a strong medical and scientific presence for CRDX in hospitals and general practitioner offices by supporting requests for medical and scientific information on products or areas of therapeutic interest to CRDX.
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other in-field members (sales and marketing) while retaining functional independence.
- Act as a point of contact within the medical affairs team for thought leaders and external experts within an assigned geographic area to satisfy their needs for scientific knowledge in a therapeutic area and, when requested, relevant CRDX products, to support their safe, effective, and appropriate use.
- Coordinate and execute regional education and scientific symposiums.
- Participate in the selection process to identify appropriately qualified thought leaders, CRDX would wish to engage in collaborative efforts
‒ such as educational and advisory roles (Advisory Boards, Congresses, Symposia, etc.) while ensuring a high level of scientific or educational integrity in these collaborative efforts.
- Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop summaries of key data and other scientifically relevant information to inform CRDX strategic priorities and initiatives.
- Responsible for medical education: to the sales teams/internal staff and external stakeholders (overseeing medical education solutions and implementing a comprehensive medical education program, in collaboration with the national training manager).
- Keep current with relevant medical publications, national guidelines, recommendations, and regulations that may influence immunoassay, clinical chemistry, and hematology management. When needed reviews and approves marketing materials and training aids on medical/scientific correctness. Ensures that all activities and interactions are conducted with due regard to all applicable local and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies, and accepted best practice standards.
Required:
- Graduate from the university science department, or equivalent, or 3- 5 yearsʼ experience in a health sciences field.
- Ability to fully understand scientific papers in both English and Japanese - Ability to use MS Office Excel PowerPoint
- English skills: Reading and Writing.
Preferred:
- Ph.D., M.D., masterʼs degree in science related or Outstanding performance in the laboratory medicine / medical / immunology industry
- Ability to write peer-reviewed scientific papers in both English and Japanese - Ability to use statistical analysis software.
