The Position

Employment contract for 12 months initially, with the possibility to extend.

We also welcome applicants seeking shortened working hours (80% working time expected open to further discussion).

The Medical Partner is a strategic medical partnering role requiring therapeutic area medical expertise and broad business understanding to identify and address the relevant medical needs to successfully co-drive the activities supporting the optimal use of Roche products in clinical practice. It is a field-based senior medical expert role dedicated to a specific disease area, responsible for fostering long-term relationships with TAEs as the primary Roche medical point of contact (PPOC), for the purpose of scientific exchange and collaboration, sensing medical trends in the market, as well as shaping the evolution of the clinical ecosystem. Defining the medical strategy as well as supervising the execution of medical activities and solutions in the field.

Key Areas of Responsibility and Accountability (list is not exclusive)

  • Interaction with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in order to understand their perspectives and needs and identify areas of scientific interest and collaboration

  • Prioritization and coordination of medical activities and solutions with the Medical Team

  • Orchestrate and manage the medical part of the relevant strategy plan including all the tactical steps according to the actual status of identified external and internal needs and available resources

  • Drive the implementation of the medical strategic plan in the field, ensuring alignment with target outcomes

  • Lead delivery of the planned Medical Education activities: as owner of assigned Roche Initiated Medical Education events (e.g. educational seminars, satellite symposia, standalone meetings, etc.) and provide individual support to HCPs to participate at educational events organized by third party (e.g. scientific congresses, preceptorships, etc.)

  • Plan, execute, monitor and record the engagement with external experts

  • Manage consulting activities gaining scientific advice from external experts  

Who You Are

  • University Medical/Science Degree - MSc. PhD, PharmDr. (Pharm Mgr.), M.D.  

  • Fluent English language knowledge, written and verbal and Czech language at native level

  • Proven work experience (2+years) in medical affairs, preferably in the therapeutic areas driven by actual Roche needs 

  • Travel expected: 70% in the field, within Czech Republic

  • Experience with organization of the medical education and evidence generation activities and scientific engagement with key external experts

  • Sound knowledge of legal and ethical requirements relevant for activities in medical affairs area

  • Demonstrated passion and drive to shape medical strategy and vision across business / therapeutic areas

  • Committed to customer centricity, with exemplary problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to lead with a creative mindset and coach Squad members

  • Demonstrated enterprise mindset and system thinking, proven ability to work effectively across squads/ therapeutic areas and networks in a fast-paced VUCA environment

  • Enabler mindset leveraging internal and external networks to create and maximize value

  • Proven influencing skills with courageous authenticity and build trust with individuals at all levels within the organization, resulting in outstanding partnering capabilities and stakeholder engagement
